個展「Off-Real : 1」を虎ノ門八雲ビルにて開催しました。
I held my solo exhibition, Off-Real: 1, at the Toranomon Yakumo Building.
研究者／クリエイターである石田康平は、初めての個展として「Off-Real : 1」展を実施します。「Off-Real（オフリアル）」は、2023年に東京都現代美術館にて発表された、石田によるコンセプトです。
「バーチャル・リアリティ（VR）」や「メタバース」が、別世界という“地点”を指すのに対し、オフリアルはOffという“動き”によって非現実的な体験を定義します。現実からわずかに離れる＝Offする動きの体験の連続そのものを、新しいリアリティとして捉え、そこに新しい実在感が立ち上がる、そのプロセスを作品として実装する試みであり、HCI・アート・建築の文脈を横断しながら、現実感の再編を試みるための鍵概念です。
本展示では、そのOff-Realを異なる角度から具現化する2作品、空間インスタレーション《擬聞 Given》と、写真作品《ガラスの中の物語を借景する》を展示します。

Kohei Ishida, a researcher and creator, presents his first solo exhibition, Off-Real: 1. Off-Real is a concept developed by Ishida and first presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo in 2023.
Whereas “virtual reality” and the “metaverse” refer to a separate world as a distinct “place,” Off-Real defines unreal experiences through the “movement” of going off. It understands the continuous experience of moving slightly away from reality—of going “off”—as a new form of reality. The concept is an attempt to realize, through artworks, the process by which a new sense of presence emerges within that movement. Traversing the contexts of HCI, art, and architecture, Off-Real serves as a key concept for reconfiguring our sense of reality.
The exhibition presents two works that embody Off-Real from different perspectives: the spatial installation Given and the photographic work Narrative Within Glass as Scenery.
